8 K-Arts Graduates Featured NFT Project of 30 Korean Performing Artists

8 K-Arts Graduates Chosen for Seoul Artist NFT Project Highlighting 30 Korean Performing Artists

The Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture (SFAC) disclosed 30 NFT works of 30 representative performing artists of Korea, including 8 K-Arts graduates (Kim Seoljin, Shin Changho, Lee Ilwoo, Chin Sol, Kim Minseok, Min Yookyung, Choi Soojin, Park Seul Ki) from the School of Music, School of Dance, and School of Korean Traditional Arts. Detailed information for NFT trade is available on the website: https://sfac.or.kr/nft/nftList.do?pageIndex=&order=&nftSeq=&nftYear=2023&searchKeyword=

Sponsored by the SFAC, the project of Seoul Artist NFTs supports performing artists, who find it more difficult to enter the NFT market compared to artists in visual arts or pop culture, in the production and circulation of NFTs. The project makes permanent records of performances via NFTs while providing selected artists with the costs of NFT production and distribution of NFTs on MetaGalaxia, the NFT platform. All the proceeds from the sale except platform premium go to the artists. The 30 NFTs released by the SFAC contain videos, motion graphics, and music with each artist’s identity.

The project aims to elevate the brand value of the artists of fine art who find entry to digital assets like an NFT inaccessible and to prepare the ground for converging arts and the digital in the long run. The artists involved in the project are considered the trailblazers who dare to push new limits, turning their artistic accomplishments into digital assets.
