The School of Dance, established in 1996, has developed its curriculum with the aim of nurturing professionals with artistic excellence. It achieves this by offering intensive practical training, creative education that emphasizes artistic potential, and theoretical instruction grounded in the humanities and social sciences to foster critical thinking. Through this curriculum, students gain comprehensive experience in Korean dance, ballet, and contemporary dance. They continue to take on new challenges that reflect the times and lead dance into the future, and in the process of building professional knowledge, they grow into dancers with expertise and confidence in their creative and practical abilities.
Through the outstanding artistic endeavors of the School’s resident dance company, composed of faculty members and current students, we fulfill our educational goal of serving as a cradle for professional dancers. The school continues to cultivate individuals who will creatively shape the future, such as performing artists, researchers, and producers taking active roles in the rapidly changing global arts scene.
