K-Arts Holds August 2024 Commencement Ceremony
On Friday, 23 August, K-Arts held the August 2024 commencement ceremony at the Arts Theater S on the Seokgwan campus.
On this day, 122 undergraduates obtained their bachelor's degrees, and 93 graduate
students their master’s. The School of Korean Traditional Arts’ playing of “Yukjabaegi,”
a haegeum piece, opened the ceremony.
K-Arts President Kim Daejin in the
congratulatory message said, “Throughout time, K-Arts has successfully demonstrated
itself. Now we should pay attention to our neighborhood and resonate with the
changing society. That way, we can proceed to the next step as the essential
arts school of our society. When we cry together, laugh together through arts, arts
finally comes to life,” mentioned President Kim reminding students that the
school would always be with them in their pathway as artists.
Wishing the best for graduating students,
the current students of the School of Korean Traditional Arts also performed an
adapted piece of Kim Baekbong’s fan dance.
