K-Arts Concluded an MOU to Nuture Youth Orchestra for Children in Rural Islands

 

K-Arts X Incheon International Airport Corporation X Korea Mecenat Association Agree to Form the Incheon Airport On-Art Youth Orchestra


 

On 6 August, K-Arts concluded an MOU with the Incheon International Airport Corporation and the Korea Mecenat Association to organize the Incheon Airport On-Art Youth Orchestra.

 

 

The main contents of the MOU include the following: (1) to conduct an orchestra education by professional instructors consisting of artists from K-Arts (2) to compose an orchestra with 34 students aged between elementary and middle school levels residing in the regions in and near Yeongjong Island (3) to let students explore career pathways through mentorship programs with artists (4) to let student members perform in the periodic year-end orchestra hosted by the Incheon International Airport Corporation (5) to run various music education programs to cultivate the potential young talents in the local community. 

 

The Incheon International Airport Corporation prepares the fund, the Korea Mecenat Association operates and manages the orchestra, and the K-Arts Industry Academy Cooperation Foundation on behalf of K-Arts overlooks the educational programs.

 

 

Based on the MOU, the K-Arts will encourage its current and graduate students to participate in arts education activities, which eventually, is expected to help them seek their careers. Even more, the students in the local community will benefit from high-quality arts education by K-Arts.

 

 

Starting from the first class of the Incheon Airport On-Art Youth Orchestra on Saturday, 17 August, three involved parties will support one another through collaboration in various programs.
