of Music Alumni Make Up 2025 SAC Orchestra Festival: The New Beginning
Alumni of the School of Music are performing at the 2025
Seoul Arts Center (SAC) Orchestra Festival: The New Beginning from April 1 to
20.
The festival was established in 1989 by the SAC to
commemorate the anniversary of the opening of its music hall. This year, the
festival marks its 37 years, featuring performances by 18 orchestras.
Pianist Kim Sunwook, now gaining attention as a rising
young conductor, leads the Gyeonggi Philharmonic Orchestra on April 20.
Concertmaster Park Jiyoon of the Radio France
Philharmonic Orchestra will co-perform with the Bucheon Philharmonic Orchestra
on April 11, while double bassist Im Chaemun of the London Symphony Orchestra will
co-perform with the Daegu Symphony Orchestra on April 19.
Additionally, pianist Chloe Jiyeong Mun will co-perform
with the Changwon Philharmonic Orchestra on April 1, cellist Lee Sang-eun with the
Gwangju Symphony Orchestra on April 3, and pianist Park Jaehong with the Busan
Philharmonic Orchestra on April 17.
Pianist Kim Tae-hyung will co-perform with the Korean
National Symphony Orchestra on April 10, and clarinetist Cho Inhyuck will
co-perform with the Jinju Symphony Orchestra on April 16.
This festival, brimming with April’s spring sunshine, is
highly anticipated due to its dazzling lineup of performers from K-Arts’ School
of Music.
