Conductor Chin
Sol, School of Music, Performs at Serate Musicali Upon Invitation
Conductor Chin
Sol, an alumna of the School of Music, met the audience in Milan, Italy, on
April 14 after being officially invited to Serate Musicali, one of the world’s leading
classical music festivals.
Founded in 1971, the
Serate Musicali is a historic festival that has hosted prominent artists and orchestras
from around the world. It is well known for participation of numerous world-class
artists, including pianist Martha Argerich, pianist Yuja Wang, composer and
pianist Ludovico Einaudi.
This time, the
concert was held under the theme “Harmony of the Orchestra.” Chin Sol co-performed

Joining their
performance were soprano Cecilia Rizzetto, mezzosoprano Chiara Selmo, tenor
Eduardo Hurtado Rampoldi, bass singer Lorenzo Ziller, and ensemble Vocale
Continuum.
Chin explained, “Mozart’s
Requiem is a work about fundamental human emotions and existence, requiring performers’
utmost sincerity both musically and emotionally.” She added, “How honored and emotionally
moved I am to perform on the stage of Serate Musicali with such great Italian performers
is simply beyond measure.”
Chin Sol earned her BA from K-Arts and her
MA from the Manheim University of Music and Performing Arts. She has performed
