Project
30 Warm Up (2026) by the School of
Film, TV & Multimedia Garners Widespread Attention
Project 30 Warm Up (2026),
co-produced by K-Arts and CJ ENM to commemorate the 30th anniversary
of the School of Film, TV & Multimedia, has drawn significant attention
within Korean cinema. Filmmaker Jeon Go-woon led the project as executive
director. Thirty filmmakers, including Kim Do-yeong, Jeong Kayoung, Oh Seyeon,
Namkoong Sun, Lim Sunae, Yoon Ga-eun, Jung Yoonsuk, Kang Mi-ja, Lee Yo-sub, and
Jeong Jae-eun – figures who collectively bridge the past, present, and future
of the Korean film industry – each directed a three-minute short, collectively
forming an omnibus work.
Originally planned by K-Arts and ATO
Entertainment, the project was completed in collaboration with CJ ENM. Reflecting
on its background, CJ ENM producer Kim Sung-hyun remarked, “K-Arts and CGV
Arthouse have previously collaborated on films like Youngju (2018). We hope
this project will once again activate academia-industry cooperation as we work to
discover new talent.”
Within Project 30 Warm Up (2026), “Chapter 1. Warm Up” foregrounds comic elements, while “Chapter 2. Deep Field” adopts a more serious tone. “Chapter 3. Impact Zone” pushes the boundaries of experimentation across a range of genres.
