Ballet
Dancers Lee Juyoung and Ahn Yunji Win at 2026 VIBE
Two students from the Department of Dance Performance at the K-Arts School of Dance received top honors at the 2026 Vienna International Ballet Experience (VIBE), held in Vienna, Austria, from March 30 to April 1. Lee Juyoung won the Grand Prix in the senior contemporary category, while Ahn Yunji was awarded Silver in the same category.
Founded by ballet dancer Gregor Hatala, who also
serves as President of the jury, VIBE is an international educational dance program
that combines competition, workshops, masterclasses, and scholarship auditions.
Beyond competition, the program offers participants valuable opportunities to engage
with distinguished international faculty and expand their artistic perspectives.
VIBE is also recognized for its inclusive approach, welcoming participants
regardless of disability. Since its inception in 2016 in the United States and
Austria, the program has expanded globally, including to South Korea and
Australia.
The 2026 Vienna edition featured a distinguished jury of nine members,
including Tamás Solymosi, Artistic Director of the
Hungarian National Ballet, and Patrick Armand, Artistic Director of the Ballet
Academy of the Vienna State Opera, engaged in discerning winners.
