2026 K-Arts Festival “Run & Play Fest” Concludes Successfully
The 2026 K-Arts Festival, “Run & Play Fest”,
held from May 21 to May 22 around the School of Visual Arts and the School of
Korean Traditional Arts at the Seokgwan Campus, has concluded successfully.
Reinterpreting the traditional sports day that has been
continued since the founding of K-Arts, this year’s festival was organized under
the slogan “A playground where individual players come together,” aiming to
foster solidarity within the university community.
The event took place daily from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00
p.m., featuring a diverse range of programs including “Let’s Play Sports Day”,
“Splash Water Park”, and the “Dolgoji Flea Market.” Approximately
24 booths were operated across the campus, offering activities such as leathercraft,
botanical art, color painting, and caricature, alongside pop-up stores by local
restaurants. These booths were organized by international cultural exchange
clubs, the student human rights committee, and the student council,
contributing to a vibrant and engaging festival atmosphere.
The highly anticipated main stage featured an impressive
lineup of performers, including actor Choi Jae-rim, music producer KIRARA, DJ
Peggy Good, and the fusion gugak band Jambini. Their performances energized the
festival, captivating the audience until the very end.
Blending the spirit of both the arts and sports, this year’s “Run & Play Fest” concluded with enthusiastic participation from K-Arts students. The festival provided a meaningful opportunity for students, who are typically devoted to their creative practices, to take a break from their routines and share a memorable experience that strengthened their sense of community.
