Seven K-Arts Alumni Shine at the 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards


The 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards, which drew global attention from K-content fans after international media referred to it as the “Gloden Globes of South Korea,” highlighted the achievements of K-Arts artists and underscored the excellence of K-Arts.

 

Held at COEX in Seoul on May 8, this year’s ceremony honored outstanding talent across a wide range of popular culture categories, including the newly introduced musical category, as well as film, broadcast, and theater. At this prestigious and comprehensive awards ceremony, seven K-Arts alumni – four awardees in film, two in broadcast, and one in theater – were recognized for their excellence.

 

In the film category, Director Yun Ga-eun, an alumna of the School of Film, TV & Multimedia, won Best Director for The World of Love (2025), while Director Park Joon-ho , an alumnus of the School of Film, TV & Multimedia, received Best New Director for 3670 (2025), both of which reflect the strength of the School of Film, TV & Multimedia’s education. Music Director Lee Minhwi, also an alumna of the School of Music, received Best Technical Achievement in Music for Pavane (2026). Actor Park Jeong-min, an alumnus of the School of Drama, won Best Actor for The Ugly (2025).

 

In the broadcast category, where productions reach global audiences through various OTT platforms, screenwriter Song Hye-jin, an alumna of the School of Film, TV & Multimedia, received Best Screenplay for You and Everything Else (2025). Meanwhile, actor Lee Chae-min, an alumnus of the School of Drama, won Best New Actor for Bon Appétit, Your Majesty (2025), further establishing his status as a rising global star.

 

In theater, actress Kim Shin-rok, an alumna of the School of Drama, received Best Acting for her compelling performance in Prima Facie.

 

The achievements of K-Arts alumni at the Baeksang Arts Awards, widely regarded as one of the most prestigious and fair awards ceremonies in popular culture, reflect the strength of K-Arts’ practice-based arts education and the outstanding talent of our graduates.
