Students from the School
of Film, TV & Multimedia Excel at the 22nd MSFF
At the 22nd Mise-en-scène Short Film
Festival (MSFF), Korea’s only genre short film festival, students from the
K-Arts School of Film, TV & Multimedia achieved remarkable results. Held
from June 18 to 23, this year’s festival saw K-Arts students win major awards,
including the top prizes.
About MSFF: Under the slogan, “Beyond the barrier of genres,” MSFF is the country’s only genre short film festival. It aims to discover emerging filmmakers who will lead the future of the Korean film industry while sharing the appeal of genre-based short films with the public.
At the festival, Mixedup Shaman (2026),
directed by Kim Keunho (Year 3, Department of Filmmaking), won Best Film in the
"No More Bad Guys" category. After Submersion (2026), directed by
Park Jeongsu, won Best Film in the "A Short Night of Crime" category,
and cinematographer Lee Yeonghun received the Cinematography Award for the same
film. In addition, Oversee (2026), directed by Yoon Jihye (Year 2, Master’s
Program, Department of Filmmaking), received the Jury’s Special Award in the
"A Shortest Night of Crime" category.
