On Duty in Vienna
Meet a School of Film, TV & Multimedia Student Intern
at the Korean Cultural Center in Austria
My name is Kim Minjeong, a student in the
Department of Filmmaking from the School of Film, TV & Multimedia. Since
May, I have been serving as a video production intern at the Korean Cultural
Center (KCC) in Austria.
In July, the KCC successfully concluded one of its major events, “INSPIRE ME KOREA beim Donauinselfest.” The festival featured various promotional booths centered on K-pop, Korean cuisine, beauty, and lifestyle, effectively showcasing diverse facets of Korean culture to local visitors.
For this event, my primary
responsibilities included producing visual media assets displayed on the main
stage backdrop and capturing on-site footage for an official recap video.
Seeing attendees enjoy the performances and interactive booth programs made me deeply appreciate my role in sharing Korean culture with a global audience. However modest my individual contribution may have been, I felt immense pride in being part of this collective mission. As the first major project of my internship, preparing and executing the event provided invaluable hands-on experience and gave me clear insight into the day-to-day operations of KCC officers.
Throughout the remainder of my internship,
I look forward to fulfilling my duties diligently at the KCC while continuing
to enhance my global competencies.
