Chang You-Jeong

The musical and movie director Chang You-Jeong, who is also an alumna of School of Drama, was selected as the winner of the 13th Pony Chung Innovation Award. 

The award ceremony was held on May 30^th, 2019 at the Pony Hall I-Park Tower. Pony Chung Foundation said, “As a representative figure in the field of musical in Korea, director Chang has contributed to revitalizing the cultural art industry by directing many works that have become milestones in performing arts.” The Pony Chung Innovation Award was first introduced in 2006. Ever since then it is awarded to the individuals or organizations that have contributed to creating positive changes in our society through innovative thinking. On the other hand, Chang You-Jeong was well received by the worldwide audience on her presentation of the theme “Next Wave” which conveyed the future-oriented message in the style of traditional Korean arts at the closing ceremony of the 2018 Pyeong Chang Winter Olympic Games.
