Lee Sang-geun of the School of Film, TV & Multimedia Directs the Film Exit (2019)

The film Exit (2019) directed by Lee Sang-geun, the graduate of School of Film, TV & Multimedia at the Korea National University of Arts, was released on July 31^st. 

Despite being a disaster film, Exit (2019) is filled with humor and wit unlike the mood of most other conventional disaster films. The main character Yong-nam (starring Jo Jung-suk), who has failed to get a job for several years after graduation, struggles to come through the city covered with mysterious toxic gas with Eui-Ju (starring Im Yoon-ah), his old crush and former college friend. 

Director Lee Sang-geun said, “I came up with this plot from a question: what it would be like when a talent that seems worthless and neglected turns into a crucial skill under emergency?” Then he wished his audience could empathize with the film’s plot and experience catharsis from it.
