Korea National University of Arts Ranks 38th in Performing Arts in the
QS World University Rankings 2020
The QS World Rankings 2020 announced that the Korea National University
of Arts (K-Arts) ranked 38th in Performing Arts. This is the first
place among the universities within Korea in the same category. On March 4th,
the QS (Quacquarelli Symonds), the UK's higher education evaluation agency, reported
the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2020 and released rankings for 48
majors in 5 fields of study. The rankings are based on academic and employer reputation
and globally known to be the most credible and quoted record.
K-Arts made it to
the top 50, taking 46th place when the QS first assessed the universities
in performing arts from around the world in 2016. Preserving its placement in
the top 50 each year ever since the university is maintaining its reputation as
a world-class arts university. Considering the reality in which 75% of the
universities in the top-ranking are located in western, K-Arts’ accomplishment
is indeed remarkable.
