Korea National University of Arts Expands the Education for Art Prodigies in Provincial Areas



 

Korea National University of Arts (K-Arts) expands the business for cultivating the gifted in arts to outside of Seoul and recruits the organizations in metropolitan cities and provinces in the whole country it can partner up with.

 

 

The new program aims to discover and nurture the young talents under circumstances who do not live in Seoul metropolitan area therefore have limited access to quality art education. The university takes responsibility for assigning instructors to the regions and operating education programs in four areas (music, dance, traditional arts, and convergence art) whereas the partnering local governments  are responsible for providing spaces and facilities necessary for running these programs. The three local governing organizations will be selected among the candidates after the recruiting process, and the university will select approximately 255 students (75 students for each province) who will join these programs after school and during the weekends.
