Alumni Shin Hyun-Bin, Ahn Eun-Jin, and Park Joo-Hyun Draw Public Attention with Their Latest Roles in Drama Series

Following Park Hae-Joon’s climb to stardom with his role in JTBC’s drama series The World of the Married, many other alumni of the Korea National University of Arts are attracting public attention with their current casts. In Hospital Playlist (2020, tvN), Shin Hyun-bin (School of Visual Arts) played Jang Gyeo-Wool, the public’s beloved character, who is a surgeon with a strong sense of professionalism who willingly takes off maggots on her patient’s wounds. Thanks to her success, Shin’s educational background and career history also became a hot topic.

Ahn Eun-Jin (School of Drama) in the same drama series is also coming into the spotlight as she plays the role of a 2nd-year resident doctor in the maternity wand. Since her debut in 2012 in a musical, Ahn has boarded her career spectrum to various TV series and restlessly built up her acting career. For example, she took part in Life (2018), Possessed (2019), My Fellow Citizens! 2019), Hell is Other People (2019) and Diary of a Prosecutor (2019-2020).

On one hand, the public began to take notice of Park Joo-Hyun, a current student of the School of Drama, as she was cast in Netflix’s new drama series Extracurricular. Shortly before this, she also appeared in JTBC’s A Piece of Your Mind (2020). In Extracurricular, she plays the role of a high school student Bae Gyu-Ri who once was a model student yet is led to get involved in a crime. She attained the nickname of “a monster rookie” with her impressive acting in this work.
