The Student Dance Troupe at School of Korean Traditional Arts of K-Arts Participates in the Korean Culture Festival 2020

The Embassy of the Republic of Korea organizes <2020 Korean Culture Festival in Sweden> online on 27 September 2020, and Department of Korean Traditional Dance at School of Korean Traditional Arts takes part of it. In the light of the current global pandemic and social distancing recommendations, this year's Korean Culture Festival in Sweden will take place online.

A concert film of K-Arts' student dance troupe, consisted of current students of the Department of Korean Traditional Dance at the School of Korean Traditional Arts, is included in a festival clip which is produces by Korea Broadcasting System (KBS), a public broadcasting company of Korea. Other than K-Arts dance concert, performance video of K-pop groups such as BTS, b-boying, and traditional singer Saik Jang will be also introduced at the festival. The festival clip is planned to be online streamed on 27th September 4pm through the official website as well as myK application of KBS.

Ambassador Jeonggyu Lee said "Korean Culture Festival in Sweden has been played as a platform which supports cultural bridging for social, diplomatic, and economic exchanges between two countries and establishes private relationship among K-culture fans as well as artists from both countries. Despite of Covid-19 pandemic that encourages non-face-to-face society, we should keep maintaining this platform."

This festival has been held in Stockholm since 2016 in order to actively promote Korea's culture and arts including traditional arts, K-pop, taekwondo, fashion, and foods.
