Thirteen Students of School of Dance and KNIGA Place in Korea International Ballet Competition 2020

 

 

Six students of the School of Dance and seven students of the Korea National Institute for the Gifted in Arts (KNIGA) won in the Korea International Ballet Competition (KIBC) 2020. The winners for the Senior Male are Kim Shi-Jean (Gold Medal) and Ryu Seong-Woo (Silver Medal). For the Senior Female, Han Shin-Hyoung took Gold and Bronze Medals. This year, no Silver Medal winner came out in this category. Additionally, Lee Seung Min, Oh Yeon, and Hwang Soo-Jin won the Jury Encourage. From the KNIGA, Lee Yoon-Seo and Koo Seong-Mo earned the Silver Medals respectively for the Pre-Junior(A) Female and Pre-Junior(B) Male. For the Pre-Junior(A) Male, Park Hyun-Woo won the Gold Medal, and Park Youn-Jae acquired Silver Medal while Won Seo-Yeon won the Gold Medal, and Lee Jee-Ho and Jeon Ji-Yul both received the Silver Medals for the Pre-Junior(A) Female. 

 

The KIBC, a contest recognized by the UNESCO International Dance Foundation and the Federation of International Ballet Competition, celebrated its 11th anniversary in 2020. This year, 167 teams from twenty-two countries competed.
