Violinist Professor Lee Seong-Ju Presents Beethoven Series II

 

 

 

Professor Lee Seong-Ju of the School of Music staged <Lee Seong-Ju: Beethoven Series II for celebrating the 250th anniversary of the birth of Ludwig van Beethoven> at the Seoul Arts Center. The program consists of Violin Sonata No.9 in Major, Op. 46 “Croitcher,” Piano Trio No.7 in B Flat, Op.97 “Grand Gong,” and Romance No.1 in G Major, Op.40 by Beethoven. Through “Croitcher” that marked a turning point in Beethoven’s musical life and “Grand Gong” known to be one of the greatest musical works in history, the performance invited the audience to feel and experience Beethoven’s music. Cellist Lee Kang-ho, a professor of the School of Music, and pianist Aviram Reichart also performed an ensemble of violin, piano, and cello in this concert. 

 

For the next event, Professor Lee has planned on the third series of Beethoven concert, Beethoven Ensemble Night, on upcoming December 30th at the Concert Hall of Seoul Arts Center. Dean of the School of Music Kim Dae-jin, pianist, cellist Kim Minji, and Joy Symphony Orchestra will also perform and make a grand finale.
