Alumna Pianist Son Yeol Eum Directs Music in PyeongChang Winter Festival 2021

Pianist Son Yeol Eum, an alumna of the School of Music, organized PyeongChang Winter Festival 2021 as an art director. The festival took place from February 5th through February 7th at Alpensia Concert Hall this year. The festival was composed of three concerts, smaller than the usual in size, due to COVID-19 effects. In the theme of a mini-warm invitation to the mundane, the festival respectively titled three concerts as Sweet Silence, Meditation, and Footprints. The celebrated Korean artists, including a chamber orchestra, Novus Quartet, performed in this festival. Art director Son explained, “I sought diversity in this festival by introducing music pieces beyond my familiarity. I hope this festival can give hope to people.”
