Actor Yohan Byun Makes a Comeback with His New Film, The Book of Fish (2021)

Actor Yohan Byun, an alumnus of the School of Drama, made a successful comeback with his new film, The Book of Fish (2021). This film, by Joon-Ik Lee, topped the box office since its release. 

The film is about the friendship between elite scholar Yak-jeon Jeong (Sol Kyung-gu) and ambitious young fisherman Chang-dae (Yohan Byun). Yak-jeon Jeong is a character who indulges in writing a guidebook on fish after being exiled, and Chang-dae is a character who dreams of climbing up the social ladder in the conventional society. About the film, Byun said, “Through this film, I wanted to tell my audience to have your dream and courage. It is okay to fail. Even failing is a good experience. So go for it.”
