Prof. Jeong-mu Yang Is Appointed the First President of Korean Association of Arts Management

Professor Jeong-mu Yang of the Department of Art History at the School of Visual Arts was appointed the first president of the Korean Association of Arts Management in the inaugural assembly on 17 April, 2021.

In the mission statement, the association pointed out, “Visual arts is the quintessence that can foster and promote creativity and individuality in the change of time through the paradigm of the Fourth Industrial Revolution” and announced, “We aim to seek for ways to make social uses of visual arts.” In the inaugural address, professor Yang showed his aspiration, stating, “I wish to provide a public sphere for all of academia and fields where we will put our heads together to deal with the matters the visual arts confront.” The Korean Association of Arts Management is planning on opening the Saturday Colloquium for the first academic event on the coming May 22^nd.
