K-ARTS, KT&G Scholarship Foundation, and Korea Mecenat Association Sign a MOU on Scholarship Program

On Friday, 7 May 21, the Korea National University of Arts established a Memorandum of Understanding with KT&G Scholarship Foundation and Korea Mecenat Association on a scholarship program for arts and physical education. In consideration of the COVID-19 situation, the participating parties signed the document without meeting up.

As this scholarship program will select the recipients from a pool of students enrolled in the middle to high schools in arts and physical education, the K-Arts will collaborate with the Korea National Institute for the Gifted in Arts (President Lee Seongju). The three parties agreed to collaborate on determining the program’s mission and responsibilities according to the planned procedure. It includes discussions on how to prepare and provide funds.

According to this agreement, the KNIGA will select up to a maximum of fourteen scholarship winners from students born between 2003 and 2008 currently registered in dance (including ballet major) or Korean traditional arts programs and fund each winner five million won per year.
