Al Jazeera Airs a Documentary on the K-Arts’ Classes of School of Music and Korea National Institute for the Gifted in Arts

Al Jazeera, the Qatari government-funded media company, broadcasted the 101 East, a documentary on the Korean music prodigies. 101 East revolves around the classes of School of Music and the Korea National Institute for the Gifted in Arts (KNIGA) in K-Arts, strategically exploring Korea’s educational system for musical prodigies.

The full video is also available on the YouTube channel, “Al Jazeera English.” Analyzing Korea as an emerging powerhouse in producing classical musicians, 101 East extensively covers the KNIGA and even the KNIGA Tongyeong campus newly opened this year. The documentary also interviewed the piano prodigy Ko Hyunseo and dean Kim Daejin of the School of Music. Established in 1996, Al Jazeera is one of the most influential pan-Arabic media companies in the Middle East.
