The
School of Korean Traditional Arts Presents the 1st International
Composition Competition Music Festival Concert
On 31 Aug. 21
(Tues.) & 02 Sept. 21 (Thurs.), the School of Korean Traditional Arts hosts
the 1st International Composition Competition Music Festival Concert (ICCMFC)
to discover various creative music integrating the Eastern and Western
instruments based on the Korean traditional music. The event ultimately aims to
promote Korean traditional music to the world. On 31 Aug. 21, the 1st ICCMFC
features seven works that have won awards in the 1st International Composition
Competition held from June to July. On 02 Sept. 21, the School of Korean
Traditional Arts members will present their performances at the Korean
Traditional Music Festival Concert. Under the COVID-19 situation, the events
will take place with no audience and live-streamed on the YouTube of the School
of Korean Traditional Arts.
In the meantime,
the School of Korean Traditional Arts is planning on performances with the
Korean Cultural Center in Germany. The event will be held in the “2021 Berlin
Korean New Music Festival” on 16 Sept. 21 & 21 Sept. 21 at the Chamber Hall
in Konzerthaus Berlin. The School also seeks to host a concert in the Korean
Gugak and Traditional Culture Night organized by the embassy of the Republic of
Korea in Bonn, Germany, at the Cologne
Palace on 23 Sept. 21.
Lastly, with the Korean embassy in Switzerland, the School will deliver a
concert at the Casino Bern in Switzerland on 25 Sept. 21.
