Director Namkoong Sun’ s Debut Feature Film Ten Months (2020) Is Officially Invited to the New York Asian Film Festival

Director Namkoong Sun’s Ten Months (2020) received an official invitation to the Uncaged Competition from the 20th New York Asian Film Festival (NYAFF) held from 6 August 21 to 22 August 21. 

Director Namkoong’s film is the only Korean film to enter the NYAFF competition this year. The plot follows 29-year-old game developer Mirae who falls into a life crisis after realizing she is eleven-month pregnant. Executive director Samuel Jamier stated, “It’s amazing that this film successfully carries out its creative and unique nuance through such a concise narrative. Just like us, the audience will find this film amusing.” The NYAFF is an annual event that introduces films ranging from the public domain to independent films. The Uncaged section illuminates the emerging directors and their movies.
