From Monday, 18 April to Thursday, 21 April, the 14th K-Arts Bach Week, co-hosted by the K-Arts School of Music and Early Music Research Center, took place at the Lee Kang Sook Hall on the Seocho-dong campus. The Bach Week is a series of early music concerts held in the K-Arts every spring. The event is an opportunity to enjoy various works of J. S. Bach performed by the K-Arts artists.

On the first day, organist professor Oh Ja-kyung of the School of Music gave a talk on the topic of the movement of reviving the works of J.S. Bach initiated by Mendelssohn after Bach’s death. On 19 April, students of organ major performed the complete 18 Leipzig organ works. On the 20th, they played chamber music. The event ended on a high note on the 21st with the performance of Bach cantata 44, 45, and 54 with conductor professor Kim Hong-soo. Besides, the Lee Kang Sook Hall in the School of Music owns the only organ that can reproduce the original sound of Bach music in Korea.
