Screenwriter Jeong Seo-gyeong’s Script of Decision to Leave (2022) Hits No.1 on the Sales Chart Upon Publication

The screenplay of Decision to Leave (2022), the Cannes 2022’s best director winner, ranked the top bestseller upon publication. The screenplay was co-written by screenwriter Jeong Seo-gyeong and director Park Chan-wook. Jeong acquired her BA in Playwriting in the School of Film, TV & Multimedia. Beginning with Lady Vengeance (2005), Jeong and Park have co-written many screenplays, including I’m A Cyborg, But That’s OK (2006), Thirst (2009), and The Handmaiden (2016). With The Handmaiden (2016), in particular, Jeong was shortlisted for the best screenplay in many international film festivals.
