K-Arts Holds the 15th Hongreung Forum


On Friday, 16 December 22, the K-Arts hosted the 15th Hongreum Forum at the K-Arts Theatre on the Seokgwan-dong campus. The Hongreum Forum is a group of educational and research institutions based in Hongreung area, Seoul. The group aims to take the innovative role of advancing regional growth and development based on the expansive competency and academic infrastructure in Hongreung. 

  

In this event, 18 organizations – 9 universities and 9 research and public institutions – in Hongreung, Seoul, participated. Together, they discussed “the growth and expansion of Hongreung through the integration of education, technology, and arts” and sought the shift of paradigm in arts and science in the rapidly changing digital technological environment.

 

At the site, Prof. Hwang Jieun of the Department of Architecture (University of Seoul) presented “the transition to the digital environment for education: analysis on the K-Arts Connected Campus.” Prof. Lee Seungmu of the Department of Filmmaking (K-Arts) presented “a case study of the cooperative model of the education, industry, and public institutions for creating cutting-edge art content.” Following that, a discussion between the panels on “the growth and expansion of Hongreung through integration.”
