K-Arts Audition Winners Concert Takes Place

At 7 p.m. on Monday, 26 December 22, the K-Arts Audition Winners Concert where the 6 teams from the 3 schools who won in the K-Arts Audition in the past two years from 2021 to 2022 presented the K-Arts Audition Winners Concert at the Lee Kang Sook Hall on Seocho-dong campus. The K-Arts Audition is a tryout for the practice-based major students enrolled in the School of Music, School of Dance, or School of Korean Traditional Arts. Each School selects the winners through two rounds of competitive auditions. This year, it is in process of selecting the winners for the third time. To support the artists’ nurturing of their competence, the program offers the audition winners opportunities to co-perform with overseas orchestras and receive funding when entering competitions or publishing their albums.

Beginning with Team P.S’s The Song of Bang-a on Way to Hwangseong (winner of 2022, School of Korean Traditional Arts), a total of 6 teams, including OOBE’s creative dance, “Breakaway and Dichotomization” (winner of 2022, School of Dance), Variety E-Seo’s high-spirited drama performance, “Namdo Nongak Garak” (winner of 2021, School of Korean Traditional Arts), and Kim Sijun’s “H. Wieniawski Polonaise Brillante Op.21” (winner of 2021, School of Music) went on stage. In this concert, the emerging K-Arts artists showcased their artistic talents through the eye-catching program encompassing the genres of classical music creative dance, and drama performance.

President Kim Daejin of the K-Arts said, “This concert will be a special stage for the audience to first meet the glorious winners of the K-Arts Audition. Celebrating the 30th anniversary now, we are going to keep actively carrying out support programs for new artists like K-Arts Audition, K-Arts On-Road, and others to let them soar as global artists.”
