2026 K-ARTS Creative Studio Open Call for International Artists

 

The Creative Studio, affiliated with the K-ARTS School of Visual Arts, is pleased to announce its open call for resident artists. This program, held on campus, is equivalent to a post-master’s program in the field of visual arts, where artists establish and carry out their own creative research projects and present their works. We warmly welcome applications from artists with research plans linked to their creative practices.

 

Residency Venue

K-ARTS Seokgwan-dong Campus

- Changjogwan (Painting, Sculpture, Media)

- Songchu Studio (Ceramics/Glass)

 

Residency Period

Mid March 2026 – Mid March 2027 (approximately 1 year)

※ Please note that the residency period is subject to change depending on visa issuance.

 

Fields

- 2D Art (Painting, Drawing, etc.)

- 3D Art (Sculpture, Installation, etc.)

- Media Art (Photography, Holography, Video, Intermedia)

- Ceramics/Glass

 

Number of Positions

- 2 artists per field (total 8 artists)

※ The total number of positions includes both domestic and international resident artists.

 

Eligibility

Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

• Have at least 3 years of professional activity in the field of visual arts after obtaining a bachelor's degree, or

• Have at least 1 year of professional activity in the field of visual arts after obtaining a master's degree.

Additionally, applicants must not have any disqualifying reasons for entry into South Korea.
